"What’s crucial is the need to override what your instincts are telling you to do (slow down, back off, give up), and the sense of elapsed time. Taking a punch without flinching requires self-control, but endurance implies something more sustained: holding your finger in the flame long enough to feel the heat."

Reaching new heights is never easy. It isn't supposed to be. As humans, as a society, and as athletes we can only grow through stress. Stress is what hardens metals, providing them the durability to persevere through their lifespan. Stress does the same for humans and I believe there is no better tool than endurance sports. Whether you are inspired to enter your first race, podium your CAT 3 crit, or reach the pinnacle of domestic racing the path is long and challenging. Don't travel that path alone.
Coaching is as much science as it is an art. Stress comes from all angles in our modern and hectic lives. Building a family, paying bills, working a full-time job, studying for finals will all count towards your stress levels just as much as a tough interval session. As a coach, it is my job to give you a blueprint to reach your goals, but more importantly adapt that plan to account for your life.
Everyone is different. We all came from different places with our own stories. Some might have physical injuries that they believe prevent them from competing. Some might have mental blocks that prevent them from reaching their goals. This is why I require a minimum 15-minute virtual or in person conversation with every new client. I want to learn about your motivators, injuries, history so we can effectively reach your goals.
